Baseball

The purpose of the Annville Youth League baseball program is to provide the opportunity for all players living within the boundaries of the Annville-Cleona School District to participate in the wonderful game of baseball, our national pastime. AYL offers baseball seasons for both spring and fall (fallball). We also have winter batting practices scheduled on Friday evenings in January and February for minors and majors aged players. For more details associated with the baseball program, see information below.

Greetings and Happy New Year to All AYL Families! Although winter has just begun, it is never too early to think about Spring and Baseball Season!  

Some information regarding the Spring 2025 season is listed below.

        *Registration for Spring Baseball opens on January 6, 2025. Registration will remain open until February 28, 2025. The registration process can be completed on the AYL Webpage. 

           * Winter Batting Practices will begin on Friday, January 10, 2025. Again, please refer to the baseball webpage for more information.

Our T-ball program is self-sustained and independent from any league. The goal of T-ball is to introduce players to the skills associated with baseball (catching, fielding, throwing, swinging a bat) as well as to prepare them for the next levels of baseball.

T-Ball 2025

Please refer to the Age Chart linked on the Baseball page to determine if your player(s) is eligible for T-ball 2025. Information concerning T-ball is bulleted below. More details will be posted as we near the season. Please note dates and times are subject to change. 

• T-ball is offered to any 5- or 6-year-old interested in playing.
• T-ball uniforms provided by AYL include a team shirt and cap. Baseball pants are not provided, nor are they mandated. Players may wear shorts when the weather gets warm. 
• Rubber cleats are suggested, but not mandated. Players may practice and play in sneakers. 
• Players must provide their own mitt.
• Players may use their own batting helmet and/or bat. AYL provides each team with 4 helmets and 2 bats. 
• Practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
• Practices start on April 14, 2025.
• Each team will play a minimum of 6 games

1. Games are scheduled for Saturday mornings/early afternoon.

                          i.     Game sites are TBD; however, they will be on one of our youth diamonds.

1. T-ball Timeline: (dates and times are subject to change).
2. Registration: January 6, 2025 until February 28 , 2025.
3. Coaches Meeting: Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Cleona Playground Pavilion (6:00 PM until 6:30 PM). Equipment and uniforms will be distributed at this time.
4. Practices start: Monday April 14, 2025.
5. Games start: Saturday April 26, 2025.
6. Opening Day: April 26, 2025.
7. Season concludes: Saturday, June 7, 2025.  

Players aged 7 through 12 participate as AYL teams in the Palmyra Civic Baseball Association league. Colts (8U), Minors (10U), and Majors (12U) play versus other AYL teams, PCBA teams, and may also play vs. Milton Hershey teams. 

Players aged 13 through 16 are eligible to play for one of our Teener teams. Our Teeners play in the Lebanon Valley Teener League.
