2024 Fall Baseball

 

Welcome to the Fall Ball (baseball) webpage here at Annville Youth League.

 

The intention of fall ball is to provide extra instruction and playing opportunities for interested players within the Annville-Cleona community. Fall ball is a stepping stone for those players aging out of one level of play and preparing them for the next level of play during the spring 2025 season.

 

Historically, games are scheduled on Saturdays from the end of August through the end of October. Practice details are not set yet, but they will not interfere with AYL football activities. Below is a synopsis of each level available for fall ball. For 2024, we are offering three levels of play.

The fall ball league is being organized by East Pennsboro / Linglestown.  They are making every effort to assure AYL will play other associations that are close in proximity (Palmyra, Hershey, Northern Lebanon).   However, there may be instances where we would have to travel a little further (ie, Harrisburg, East Penn, Camp Hill).  

 

Colts: Players that played spring baseball as a 6-year-old or 7-year-old. This level includes players that played T-ball in 2024 and are moving to Colts in 2025. This level also includes players that played Colts in 2024 and will play Colts again in 2025. 

 

Minors: Players that played spring baseball as an 8-year-old or 9-year-old. This level includes players that played Colts in 2024 and are moving to Minors in 2025. This level also included players that played Minors in 2024 and will play Minors again in 2025. 

 

Majors/Intermediate: Players that played spring baseball as a 10-year-old, 11-year-old, or 12-year-old. This level includes players that played Minors in 2024 and are moving to Majors in 2025. This level also includes players that played Majors in 2024 and will play Majors again in 2025. This level also includes players that played Majors in 2024 but are eligible to move to Teeners/14U in 2025. ***NOTE: ***This level uses 50-foot pitching and 70-foot bases.  

Uniforms:  AYL provides a jersey and cap for fall baseball uniforms. Players must provide their own game pants.  Gray is the suggested color, however, any color will suffice.  

Fundraiser: 

The fall fundraiser is an R&K Sub sale and a joint effort between fall baseball, flag football, field hockey, and cross country. Fundraisers are necessary in order to keep registration fees at a minimum, as well as to cover other costs with sustaining all of our programs.
