9/32/20 UPDATE:
Please take a minute to read through our amended procedures being put in place as it relates to COVID-19.

  1. Daily temperature checks for all coaches (if around players) and players when they participate in activities.
  2. Masks are necessary for all coaches at all times.
  3. Masks should be worn by players to and from the athletic field.
  4. Social distancing is necessary when not participating in the activity/on the bench.
  5. Spectators are encouraged to practice social distancing and wear a mask.
  6. All players must sign a COVID waiver form prior to their first practice.
  7.  If a player becomes ill or answers “yes” during the screening, that individual must be isolated immediately.
  8. Players must provide their own drinks/water bottles for the entire workout.

Players/coaches/volunteers will also go through a screening prior to each practice/game. The questions that will be asked of each participant are as follows:

5/31/20 UPDATE:

We're back with some unfortunate news regarding our spring/summer baseball program. The following baseball leagues have been officially cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation.

   • T-ball (ages 5-6)
   • Mustangs (ages 7-8)
   • Ponies (ages 9-10)
   • Midgets (ages 11-12)

Full refunds will be given to all players. We are currently working with our website provider to execute each refund for those who paid online. If you paid your registration fee with cash or check, you will be receiving your refund by mail.

A decision regarding our Teener teams (ages 13-16) has not yet been made, however we will inform you of any news regarding a decision as soon as one is made.

As stated in our previous email, there is some discussion about an expanded Fall baseball league. Details regarding that league will be emailed and on our website as soon as we have them.

5/26/20 UPDATE:

We're back with a quick update on where we stand with our spring and summer activities as well as our plans for the fall season.

Spring/Summer Baseball -
We're still in a holding pattern here. There is still is a small chance that youth sports will get the go-ahead (from the Governor's office) to resume youth activities. These next few weeks will be super important and a good indicator of what our next steps might be. Please continue to stay patient as we await a decision. If the season is cancelled, full refunds will be given.

Spring/Summer Track & Field -
The 2020 season has been cancelled. We've begun the refund process and will send an email regarding how your refund will be processed in the coming days.

Fall Flag Football - Tentative dates
We're in the process of planning the season and are tentatively looking at having "clinics" on 9/9, 9/14 & 9/16. These "clinics" will simply serve as our way of evaluating participants so that we can place them on teams as evenly as possible. The first week of the season is tentatively set for 9/21 and will run through 10/26. We'll be sure to update everyone with more details as they become more solidified.

Fall Baseball -
There has been some preliminary discussions around how a Fall Baseball season might work. We will keep everyone up to speed with how this shakes out as decisions are made by the various league commissioners.

4/23/20 UPDATE:
With COVID-19 wreaking havoc on all of our lives, we're still in a holding pattern as it relates to our baseball seasons. League officials at all levels are still aiming to conduct a shortened season. This will continue to be a developing situation, so we will update all participants as soon as we have any news.

The same can't be said for our Track & Field and Flag Football seasons. At this point we have made the decision to cancel both activities. Refunds will be made available to everyone who paid their Track & Field registration. We ask that you please be patience with us as we continue to investigate the easiest/best way to go about executing all of the refunds.

As an organization, we will stay on top of our areas COVID-19 current events and will continue to update all of you with where our activities stand. Our hope is that our Fall activities are unaffected, and we can get back to our normal way of life as soon as possible.

3/25/20 UPDATE:

Given this week's state mandated extension of school closures (due to COVID-19), we will be extending our spring season suspension an additional 2 weeks (at minimum).

We will continue to stay in touch and hope to get back at it soon!

3/13/20 UPDATE:
Due to the situation with COVID-19, The Annville Youth League will be suspending any and all activities related to our organization for a minimum of 2 weeks effective 3/13/20.

Per Annville-Cleona’s Superintendent, there will be no activities allowed on school property, which includes fields. This means absolutely NO practice times off-site or “get togethers” at any school facility, AYL field or anywhere else, as your kids will not be covered by insurance due to the suspension of all activities within our organization. Please do not put The Annville Youth League or any of our kids and their families in jeopardy during this time.

If the Governor and the School District lift the closure on March 29th, we will then re-evaluate our activities and schedules. At that time, you will receive further communication.

Thank you all for your cooperation during this hectic time! We look forward to a short two weeks and hope to get back to it soon! Until then, please stay safe and healthy.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our board members via email or phone.
